Low Price Next Day Shipping
I'm the owner of a Pack & Ship & Mailbox store. Many people that ship documents or packages with "overnight delivery" to a city within 300 miles may be overlooking the lower-cost "Ground" option.
The savings can be substantial, as much as 60% off the normal FedEx Overnight® or UPS NextDay® price.
Patronize a shipping store (like mine) that has both UPS and FedEx shipping. You will learn that UPS Ground can deliver overnight to some towns that FedEx Ground cannot, and FedEx Ground can deliver overnight to other towns that UPS Ground cannot.
Time of delivery must be very flexible. Ground service to commercial addresses are delivered during business hours, and may delivered as late as 5pm, while Ground service to residential addresses can be delivered as late as 8pm. If your shipment needs to be delivered before 10:30am, you must request FedEx Priority Overnight® or UPS NextDay®.
The key is to find out what day "Ground" service will arrive to the city you are shipping to. If you don't specify "Ground", you may pay for the higher-priced FedEx Overnight® or UPS NextDay® service.
Also, the free UPS and FedEx envelopes are not for use on Ground shipping (the rules are printed on the envelopes). Use a large yellow bubble-envelope when shipping documents using Ground service. Regular manila envelopes are not recommended, as they are small and can be lost or overlooked very easily.
